    Wat is een pilotenhelm?

    Een pilotenhelm is een moderne versie van de vroegere pilotenhelmen. De losse bril en het open kinstuk maken deze helm extra stoer. Tegenwoordig zijn de helmen voorzien van moderne features, dus de ouderwetse pilotenhelm heeft een nieuw jasje aangekregen. Zeker een helm als de Scorpion EXO-Combat EVO komt het meest in de buurt van de vroegere pilotenhelm.

    ECE 22.05 keurmerk voor helmen

    Wil je een pilotenhelm aanschaffen, dan is het belangrijk dat de helm een ECE 22.05 keurmerk heeft. Goed nieuws: alle helmen in ons assortiment – dus ook de pilotenhelmen – zijn voorzien van dit belangrijke kwaliteitskeurmerk.

    Wanneer krijgt een helm een ECE 22.05 keurmerk? Wij kunnen je vertellen: niet zomaar! De helm wordt aan allerlei strenge testen onderworpen. Denk aan stevigheid, slijtvastigheid, schokabsorptie. Pas wanneer een helm aan alle eisen voldoet, krijgt het het ECE 22.05 keurmerk toegewezen.

    De juiste maat pilotenhelm kopen

    Ben je van plan om een nieuwe helm te kopen? Bij het bestellen van pilotenhelmen is het belangrijk dat je de juiste maat kiest. Hier hebben wij een handig stappenplan voor om dit eenvoudig te doen.

    • Gebruik een meetlint
    • Meet de omvang van je hoofd, neem de volgende richtlijnen voor de plaatsing van het meetlint:
      • Meet ongeveer 2,5 cm boven de wenkbrauwen
      • Meet vlak boven de oren
      • Meet het grootst mogelijke omtrek van je hoofd
    • Noteer het aantal centimeters
    • Bekijk de matentabel
    • Noteer de maat

    Als je de juiste maat hebt gevonden kun je jouw pilotenhelm kopen.
